PRIVATE WORKSHOP- CAMP PREPAREDNESS

 Yes I know there is still snow on the ground (in the Midwest at least) but I bet camp talk is on the rise in your house too! Ever wonder how to get your "babies" ready for camp? How do you pack- is a big question I get. More importantly how do you ensure your child has the self advocacy skills ready to ask for what they need when they are out of your care! How can you prep him/her for homesickeness, social struggles and the like? All of this a normal healthy part of development! The way you prepare you child can really help them to be a successful overnight camper!

I'm now setting up "in home" and virtual camp preparedness meetings with parents of campers going to any overnight camp! I have over 20 years of experience working with kids in schools, supplementary programs and 5 summers on the Director Team of one of the largest overnight camps in North America. I will arm you with the tools to help your child process their "big and varied" feelings about going to overnight camp and be well prepared while helping you process your own fears and hopes! I'll even show you my "Camp Director/Camp Mom" tools of the trade for packing your kiddos without losing your mind!
